I contributed to the research and development of an on-device, real-time TTS system, supporting eight different languages. This system is crucial for the Live Translation feature, enabling real-time speech translation during phone calls directly on the user's device. Ensuring the system produces high-quality speech while maintaining reduced complexity was important. I enhanced the TTS system's architecture to more efficiently generate speech, thereby improving its naturalness and intelligibility within a reduced model size of less than 100 MB.
